SHORT INTERVIEW AND GUESTMIX WITH PERRY WAYNE!

Look out! Perry Wayne is taking over!

Perry Wayne is definitely artist to watch in 2020. He brings a level of production straight from the heart. With emotion pulling arpeggios, up-lifting chords, and bone crushing basslines. Perry Wayne is the name you should follow, he is here to stay.

Hi Perry Wayne! Take us back to the beginning, how did you find your passion to produce electronic music?
I found my passion from when I was around 3 when my family bought me a drum kit for my birthday. I took lessons from my uncle then went throughout my school years in band and music classes!

What were the first EDM songs you heard and how did you find dubstep?
The first EDM songs I heard were some songs from the 80s from a group called “Information Society”. My dad loves dance music from then and I was pretty much forced to listen to that until I got my own iPod. The first dubstep I heard was from Excision and Downlink!

Having your own sound is important in the music field. How would you describe your personal sound?
My own personal sound is hard to describe, but if I had to put it into words I would say it’s a combination of Progressive House and Nasty basses!

How was the song “FOOLS” born? Do you have some routine before you start producing a song or do you just start building it part by part?
FOOLS was odd, I created it in around 3 hours from start to finish in a random burst of creativity. Most of my favourite songs are like that. To make most of my songs I don’t have a routine, I just use all the spare time I have to work on music and hope something great comes out!

What is the song you’re most proud of and is there a song you’re not so proud of?
Most proud song is my Sweet Dreams remix, and my not so proud would be anything I released in 2014!

I could say that you are “the artist to watch in 2020″. What are some of your goals for 2020?
My goals in 2020 are simply to write quality music, and hopefully be able to collaborate with some bigger artists! I’m not sure if I’m ready for a tour, but I want to continue to spread my music around!
