INTERVIEW WITH AUTOMHATE!

AUTOMHATE just released an EP through Disciple Round Table! Automhate has gained huge amount of support from artists like 12th PlanetSubtronics, Atliens, marauda, ray volpe, borgore and more. Read the interview below.

HI AUTOMHATE! HOW ARE YOU DOING?
I am doing great! Very excited for this release on Disciple Roundtable, it’s a big goal for me.

TAKE US BACK TO THE BEGINNING, HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PASSION INTO PRODUCING ELECTRONIC MUSIC?
I know, it is not the most original thing ever happened but it is true. So basically one day I was on Youtube and found a Skrillex tune. Out of pure curiosity, also because I had heard that name before, I decided to listen to that track (don’t remember which one though). Well at first I did not like it at all but in the next several days I kept finding Skrillex-related contents in my Youtube home, especially people playing his tracks with a Launchpad. Long story short, one month later I buy a Launchpad that has Ableton Live Lite included and the journey starts pretty much there (it was around 4 years ago or less).

ABOUT YOUR STUDIO METHODS. DO YOU HAVE REGULAR HABIT FOR CREATING A NEW SONG AND GETTING INSPIRED?
I use to have a listening session where I look for inspiring music, then when the inspiration kicks in I make a good cup of hot coffee and start producing. Not necessarily something good comes out most of the times but I like just sitting and starting with a sound design session.

YOU RELEASED AN EP CALLED “TERMINHATE” THROUGH “DISCIPLE ROUND TABLE” LABEL, COULD YOU SHARE THE CREATIVE PROCESS BEHIND THE EP?
It has been a pretty long journey to be honest. I made most of the sound design that you hear in the tunes in the previous summer. In November I found those sounds I had made previously and I remember I had just watched Terminator the movie. In more or less than a month the EP was basically ready to go.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG FROM THE EP?
My favorite drop has to be Scavenger for sure. I put a lot of effort into making it, tried some new techniques and I am pretty proud of the result. The best intro/break instead goes to Execute and its “housy” vibes.

WHO DO YOU HOPE TO WORK WITH IN THE FUTURE, IF YOU COULD NAME TOP3 ARTISTS TO WORK WITH AND WHY?
First one has to be Oolacile: crazy sound design, futuristic approach to every tune he makes, huge inspiration.

Second one: Svdden Death. He is so creative and he is always innovating his music. I think he is a big inspiration not just for me but pretty much everyone.

Third one: Effin. This man is so talented. He is an arrangement god and I just love how his intros are sweet, melodic and thrilling at the same time. Definetly an artist I would like to work with.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE SOMETHING WITH THE FOLLOWERS OF LET THE BASS GET YOU?
Yes. In your life try to stick to what you love and take care of it. I’m talking about people, passions, music, everything. Results will show up if you really care.
