2020 has started off huge for Boise’s bass behemoth Kai Wachi. His immensely successful “Run” was the first iteration of his new sound, dubbed “Cry Wachi” by fans, which was then followed up with a major collaboration on “Flatline” with Sullivan King and GG Magree. Now, Kai has returned to his roots with the hybrid heater “The Keeper” featuring Seattle rapper Macntaj.
“The Keeper” sees Kai Wachi bring back his trap meets dubstep signature, aided in part by slick rhymes from Macntaj who has previously collaborated with Kai on “MUD” and “Rebels“. Heavy and ferocious, this grand escapade into the darkness is an ode to longtime fans, as well as a statement to new ones showing that Kai Wachi can rival the best producers out there. His impeccable songwriting and prodigious sound design abilities are on full display with this iconic record.
