Circus Records releases some of my favourite music and BLOSSO’s new EP, “Servant” is no exception. The melodic heavy EP is full of some awesome collaborations and has definitely been the soundtrack for my week.
Released on 15 April 2021, the EP starts out strong with the extended mix of the title track, “Servant” – with crisp sound design, and a catchy af hook and flow within the drops the energy remains high throughout the track.
The fifth track, a remix of “Self Love” by Ace Aura x Trinergy has got to be my favourite one of this release with its lush vocals and intensely coloured, bubbly, ethereal sound design in the drops.
Dahmhyun Lee –known by his stage name BLOSSO– is a Korean bass music DJ and producer. Based in Seoul, BLOSSO is one of the few Korean bass acts that is starting to gain worldwide attention, garnering support from the likes of Illenium, Kayzo, Ookay, ARMNHMR. Best known for his melodic dubstep hitter “Save Me” with ARMNHMR, which was released on Yellow Claw’s Barong Family imprint in 2019, BLOSSO has also released on labels such as Disciple, Circus Records, Rushdown and Kinphonic.
BLOSSO enjoys doing remixes and has entered several remix competitions (including ones for Dodge & Fuski’s “Bringing Wobble Back” and Carbin & MADGRRL’s “On & On,” both of which he won).
