HOLDRA RELEASE SECOND TUNE “REDBULL”!

Hot off the back of their debut single “USB” (read our writeup here), Holdra are back with a new tune “Redbull“! Their debut single was a wild flex of dubstep sound design infused hyperpop and “Redbull” takes concept this even further with a its crisp but gritty heaviness laid between catchy hooks!

Redbull” starts off strong with heavy distorted hits dispersed between some awesome foley work the song gets off to a crazy cool hyper-popish vocals leading into a heavy brain melting drop and keeps this vibe going the whole way through.

REDBULL is an unflinching expression of our bottled-up quarantine energy. The track was made remotely in the midst of the pandemic where isolation and a lack of drive were taking their toll on us. Now that the US is opening up, it’s time to put our foot on the gas and bring that energy into the world.

Holdra’s Ivy Jahnson and Lindie O’Toole first crossed paths online, connecting over a shared love for electronic music and the avant garde. The girls’ friendship developed over late night discussions of music production that lasted into the early hours of the morning. Each feeling that they had met their match, there was nothing left for them to do but create something together that filled what they both felt was missing from the electronic music landscape: a bold, energetic, and sophisticated new take on dance music. From the tireless work that ensued, the duo has gained momentum, with bigger songs, collaborations, and shows already on the horizon. Holdra is undeniably one of the most exciting new acts of the year.
